I’ve always had excellent feedback from our drivers but was delighted to find we were rated number one attraction in Scotland on the Trip Advisor website.
The combination of a Caterham’s awesome driving capabilities and the fantastic roads and scenery around Perthshire attracts drivers locally and worldwide. “This must be close to the ultimate job”, says Andrew.” I meet lovely people from all over and invariably put a huge smile on their faces and I get to drive Caterhams for a living.”
The business is run from home and many of the clients have been treated to their day out by their partner and arrive looking puzzled as to why they’ve been brought to a private house with a big garage. “I love to watch their face as I open the garage door.”

We added a Porsche Boxster last year to widen our appeal and had a driver book three days. Unfortunately I had to tell him that the Porsche wasn’t available on the second day, would he like to try a Caterham. He agreed on the basis that he could have the Porsche again on the third day. He enthused about the Porsche at the end of day one and I set him off in one of our SVs. Less than an hour later he phoned me and I was prepared for the worst. But no, it was, “I can’t stop smiling, can I keep it for another day.” He has since booked several days in one of our Caterhams.
I get a good number of “try before I buy” people and of course I usually lose them as customers but some call past with their purchase for advice and to show it off.
Older drivers like me remember the launch of the Lotus Seven and have been lusting after one for fifty years; I’ve yet to see a disappointed face though some complain of an aching face from smiling all day.
